About a month ago we had Avery's baby blessing. It was such an amazing experience Chris did such a wonderful job. You could tell how much he loves his littler girl. Avery was blessed in the same dress i was blessed in. She looked so cute! We had a pretty amazing experience, after her blessing we went to my parents house for a pot luck lunch. While we were setting up i looked at my mom and asked her if there was any more food. She said no and we started to search for things to give to people. We had SOO many guests over and hardly any food. I was freaking out i knew there wasn't enough for everyone to get food. At best half of them could get a plate. But there was nothing we could do. So we said a prayer and everyone lined up to get food. I watched as people came and completely filled their plates! The line got smaller and smaller and the food was still there! I seriously was shocked. Every person got a full plate of food and there was still food left over! Its amazing how the lord blesses you. Avery has been getting so strong. Last week she rolled over from her stomach to her back! I was so proud of her! She also loves to sit up in her Bumbo chair. And can stand up when you hold her hands! She's getting quite the personality. She loves to talk and scream! Chris says she's going to have the Hoskins scream like all of her cousins :) Last week she also started eating cereal! It depends on the day if she likes it or not ha ha! I cant believe how fast she's growing up already. Next week she's going to be 3 months!! Chris and I got to have a few hours to ourselves last week. My parents came and stayed with us so my dad could go to the BUY football game. Right when the game was about to start Chris came home with a few tickets and my mom offered to watch Avery so we could go. It was so much fun spending time with Chris. We ended up leaving early. BYU kicked Idahos butt and i missed my baby. Other than that nothing too exciting has happened. I absolutely love being a mother! Its hard to imagine our life with out her.

As of lately
I've been slacking on blogging. I knew i would be busy having a newborn but i had no idea how busy i would be. Avery is such a doll and we love her so much. Lots has happened this last month and a half so I'll try and keep this short. My mom and Conner came down and stayed with us for a few days to help with Avery and help me recover from having her. It was so nice to have them here. My mom stayed in the room with Avery at night and would knock on my door when she was hungry so i got a lot of sleep. I have a hard time letting people do stuff for me so if she was cleaning i wanted to help her. One day she literally made me lay in the bed and wouldn't let me get up. Thank goodness she did because that day i started really feeling better.
During pregnancy my feet swelled a little bit but not nearly as much it did after i had her!
My feet were so swollen you could push your finger on my foot and i would leave an indent! There was one point that i was sitting on the couch with my feet crossed in front of my when i uncrossed them there was a huge indent where my heel was! So thank you mom for making me get off my huge elephant feet!
This is a picture of all the diapers Avery went through the first five days she was home! I knew we would go through a lot of diapers but i had absolutely no idea it would be this much! Thank goodness she's cute!
Once my family left we were really lucky and Chris' mom got to come stay with us. She was so sweet i got to sleep in when she was here because she watched Avery so i got some much needed sleep.
Avery has defiantly been keeping me on my toes. After everyone left she started getting really fussy and spitting up almost everything she ate. I went to the doctors and he told me she had reflux and maybe colic. He gave her pills that we have to put in water to dissolve and give to her each morning. It seemed to be helping but then the next week she got fussy again until one night she was so congested she couldn't stop choking on the mucus in the back of her throat. Poor Chris had to work early the next morning and didn't get much sleep because at about 2:00am we went to wal-mart to get a humidifier. But it didn't help her. I ended up staying up with her all night and took her to the doctor again that morning. We found out she had TWO ear infections! My poor little girl has been so sick and because she's so young they took a urine sample and blood sample to make sure she was okay. Luckily nothing else is wrong right now. We just have so much medicine she has to take it makes me feel so bad. But she's doing much better now. Here are a few recent pictures of her.

Avery Anne Hoskins
Avery Anne Hoskins was born August 4th 2011 at 12:59am 6 pounds 12 ounces.
I had been having really bad contractions the night of August 2nd so bad that we probably should have gone to the hospital that night but Chris only got about 3 hours of sleep the night before. So i was waiting as long as i could so he could get enough sleep just in case we would be in the hospital all day. I ended up taking tylenol and was able to fall alseep. I was a little bit disappointed the next day because i wasn't having any more contractions and was getting really anxious i wanted our little girl to be here already. later that day i started having contractions 3-4 minutes apart. Chris was at work and even though he told me to call him and he would leave early i was still waiting for him to get home just getting ready to make dinner. Chris called me at about 4:00 and asked how i was doing when i told him how bad my contractions were he told me he was coming home to take me to the hospital and couldn't believe i hadn't called him sooner!
We got to the hospital and if any one knows me they know i usually have a smile on my face and i'm pretty happy. When i told the nurses at the hospital that i think i'm in labor they were a little rude you could tell they didnt believe me but they got me in a bed and checked to see how dilated i was. I was 4 CM and they wanted me to stay for an hour and see if a dilated another CM to make sure i was in active labor. It so funny how quickly things changed once they found out i wasn't exaggerating, i really was having bad contractions and had dilated to a 5. They were so nice from that point on. I finally found out my nurses name, they got me admitted and told me the doctor would be here soon to brake my water.
Right before they broke my water i got an epidural it was pretty funny because the doctor told be that some women when the tube is put in get the sensation of getting their funny bone hit but down their leg. Even though i was warned it still caught me completely off guard! I think i scared the doctor because he put the tube in my back and i screamed! I had to explain it didn't hurt at all. I'm just a loud person and it surprised me ha ha!
Labor went much faster than i thought it would! After braking my water it took me 2 hours to dilate to a 10 i was going so fast they had to call the doctor back, he had gone home to see his family so i had to wait about an hour for him to come back. 45 minutes of pushing and our little angel was here!
I've learned you really should follow what they tell you to do in the hospital. When you go into active labor your not allowed to eat or drink anything. I did pretty good in the drinking part but when Chris came back with all his snacks he had these cheetos that smelled SOOO good! I begged him to give me just a few that it wouldn't be a big deal if i ate three little cheetos! Well i was wrong. i was almost done pushing when i felt extremely nauseous. Poor Chris had to hold this bag right by my face while i threw up. It smelled like nasty cheetos and because i was throwing up i was having a hard time explaining that the smell was making me even more nauseous! Luckily the nurse figured out what i was trying to say and gave Chris a new bag haha!
Chris was such a big help to me during the whole thing. I've got the most amazing husband in the world! He was always spooning ice chips into me mouth holding the nasty puke bag and wiping it off my face. Helping me with the oxygen. And being very encouraging!
Avery had the cutest cry I've ever heard! She had this little squeak at the end of each cry, she sounded like a little bird it was adorable!
We had alot of visitors and lots of family members and friend that sent flowers and gifts for Avery! Even though the hospital was great for getting rest i was very anxious to be back in my own home. I'm pretty sure if we stayed another day poor Chris would go insane! He hated having to sit there and do nothing all day.
I didn't get emotional until we were driving home. I was in the back seat looking at our beautiful daughter and i think i finally hit me. We have a little girl and she's coming home happy and healthy! I'm so blessed to have such an wonderful husband and daughter!

28 Weeks!
So i thought i should probably post some pictures of my pregnant belly. I cant believe i'm already in my third trimester! Its flown by. I only have two months left until our little angel arrives! I'm so excited. My stomach has kind of caught me off guard though! I feel like it grew over night. I find myself trying to squeeze into places i used to be able only to find out i cant suck in my stomach any more and usually get stuck! I also didnt realize how much i've been using my feet to pick things up until last Saturday i was doing laundry and had to bend over so many times! Its getting really annoying not being as limber as i usually am. While i was cleaning the house which wasnt even very messy i found myself kicking things to the middle of the room so i didnt have to pick up one thing at a time. I've also decided i miss my small belly because i cant reach anything! Being short in the first place kind of sucks because i always have to reach or get a stool to get reach higher things in the kitchen. Well its even worse. Because now i cant get very close to the counter because my belly gets in the way! I also cant just jump up onto the counter top to reach it either, So i've found out the stool had become one of my best friends! I cant wait for our little girl to come but i also cant wait to get back into shape so simple things are simple again! Here are some fun pictures!

I love vacations!
Chris and i have both had a pretty hard couple of weeks with work. I've had move ins and move outs for both complexes i manage so for two weeks the only day off i had was Sunday. Chris has been working 90 - 100 hours every two weeks because works picking up for him and on his days off he works at Alpine court doing all the landscaping. It was time we both needed a break.
We decided to go to Herniston where Chris' parents live. Chris used to be the 11 year old scout leader a few years ago and one of the boy was getting his eagle and chose chris to receive the mentor badge. At the court of honor the brought in this HUGE eagle. It was fun to see Chris sitting by it in the eagles nest. Chris said he was trying not to look at her in the eyes because he didnt want her to attack him. And when everyone would clap the eagle would get a little ski-dish and start ruffling up her feathers which freaked Chris out a bit. But it was really fun to see some of the kids Chris used to help with scouts.

Chris' parents both had the weekend off and decided i would be fun to take us to multnomah falls a few hours from their house. They were Gorgeous! It looked like one of those pre-installed backgrounds on your computer or in a calender. We hiked up to see a bunch of different water falls and then stopped to have a picnic.

Theres an alien inside me!
We had a pretty cool experience happen yesterday. Our little girl was moving around a lot last night so i had Chris see if he could feel her. We've tried a few times before but she's never been big enough to feel her kicking. But last night Chris felt her! I think he was a little freaked out at first but i could tell he was enjoying feeling our baby because he had his hand on my stomach for a while until she stopped moving. Well later that night when we were laying in bed just watching TV She was stretching or something i could seriously feel her hands or feet! It wasn't just a little bumping like it usually it. So Chris felt it again! He looked at me and says it feels like an alien inside you! Ha ha. I'm so happy Chris got to finally feel what I've been able to feel now. I want him to be a part of this whole experience. Instead of me just telling him whats going on i want him to be able to feel it too! We'll see how he reacts when we actually start seeing my stomach move! That will really creep him out :)

I feel like such a JERK!
As most of you know we moved from the ghetto of Orem to BYU central! We've really liked it for the most part because we're in a house where we can mind our own business with out having a ton of neighbors (other than the thousands of students that live all around us of course) There are a few down sides and one of those is college students don't understand you can't park my drive way! I come home all the time with someones car in the drive way so i usually sit there and wait 5 minutes and they're back and i yell at them and say if they do it again i'm calling the tow truck. Well last week i came home from work and there was a little green Subaru in the drive way. So i waited for another college student to come get it and after about 10 minutes i realized they're not picking up someone for a date they really did just park in the drive way! I was so irritated i didn't want to deal with it after working the whole day, so i proceed to call our the towing company that i work with at Alpine Court. He comes takes the car away and i went on with my night feeling pretty good about my self i was going to finally teach those college students a lesson on curtsy and the appropriate places to park your car. Well about 20 minutes later Edgar our Maintenance manager comes to my front door. "Jessica have you seen my car? I was parked in the drive way." CRAP! Edgar had been working in the basement apartment! Now if i had known that was his car of course i wouldn't have towed it! So instead of the sense of pride and feeling like i had finally stuck it to some college kid that was parking where he shouldn't have, my stomach sank! I cant tell you how many times i apologized to Edgar. I felt SOOOO awful! Especially because usually I'm not such a jerk. But the one time i do something it ends up being one of my employees. Luckily i called the towing company and we were able to get the car out for free but i felt like such a jerk! I don't think i will ever tow some one again.

Our Baby!
This week i've noticed the baby moving alot! Its so much fun to lay down while watching TV with my hand on my stomach and just feel the baby move around. I've tried to let Chris feel the baby but i think its still a little too early. I cant wait until i find out if its a Boy or Girl so i can stop calling it baby ha ha! Our ultrasound is March 30th!! Wish us luck :)

1 year of pure BLISS!!!
Can you believe it Chris and I have been married for a full year! Its crazy to think how fast it went by! I've been slacking on my Blog and should have posted this a while ago! Our Anniversary was February 27th. We knew with a baby on the way we probably wouldn't get to have a fun weekend for a while especially sense we've been trying to save so much! So we decided to spoil our selves. The plan was to leave Saturday spend a night at Anniversary in and go to a nice dinner that night but Chris called me on Friday and told me people at work had told him about the Melting Pot and he thought it would be fun to go there. So i rushed to get a reservation last Minute and called anniversary inn to see if that had ANYTHING available that night! For most of you that know me i like things to be pretty planned out and i always have a budget! Chris was shocked that i let us leave a day early but i thought it was worth it.
Here is the room we stayed in the first night. It was called the Bridal Suit. It wouldn't have been my first choice be it was the only one available for that night and when we got there it was surprisingly really pretty! These pictures don't really do it justice. We settled in and went to the Melting Pot.
These were the only pictures if got of the dinner mainly because it was 8:00 when we had our reservation so we were STARVING and i was a little preoccupied to take allot of pictures ha ha! The food was amazing especially their dessert! It was a little expensive but we'll defiantly go back for at lease the dessert!
The next day we switched rooms to the Romeo and Juliet suit. Chris was so excited we got this one because he wanted to stay here but i told him it was too expensive. But because we were staying there a second night they gave us an AMAZING deal! I couldn't pass it up. This room was beautiful and SO much fun the tub was like a swimming pool!
I didn't get any pictures but that afternoon we went to Message Envy. It was really fun but poor Chris. He got a deep tissue massage and i could hear him trying not to make any noise as the guy was attacking his back! It was good for him though because his work hurts his back pretty bad and he never lets be message it to get some of the knots out.
After our painful massages that Chris was hurting for probably three days after we went to dinner at the roof. The view was so amazing! Chris and i kept switching seats so we would get turn looking at the temple while the sun was going down.
Chris was so sweet and got Pride and Prejudice and Phantom of the Oprah for us to watch that night. Eating popcorn and spending lots of time together. We even had a late check out that day.
When we went out to our car to go home we got a lovely surprise! Some one had broken into my car! The passenger side window was busted out and the face of our radio was gone and Chris' GPS. UGH! What a way to end a perfect weekend! Insurance wouldn't cover anything and the police said the damage had to be at least 1,000 to do anything about it! Oh well. It was worth it to have such an amazing weekend with my husband! I love him so much and cant wait for the years to come! May i just say wedding cake in a plastic bag doesnt usually work very well. It get a little freezer burnt ha ha Happy Anniversary Babe!
